The Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE) is honored to invite you to join the 2007 FUNGLODE Golf Cup.

This event will take place in the world-wide famous tourist center Casa de Campo located at La Romana, Dominican Republic in golf Dye Fore and La Romana Country Club Golf courses. It will be held from Friday November 2 to Sunday November 4th. This will be a unique experience as much for the participants as for the guests, promising to be a great success.

The tournament as in the past will include a variety of social events and activities for the entertainment of the participants and their companions.

Our first tournament took place July 30 through August 1 2004 in La Romana on the prestigious Teeth of Dog and La Romana Country Club golf courses. The players seem to enjoy both very much. Jim McLean Golf Schools International offered clinics to all participants who desired them. The presentation of Awards was held in conjunction with Fashion and Synchronous Swimming shows which were highlighted by the music of the Miami Sound Machine along with Rubby Perez and his orchestra.

2005 FUNGLODE Golf Cup was played in the East of the Dominican Republic December 2, 3 and 4th, on the Dye Fore and the La Romana Country Club golf courses. The honorary President of FUNGLODE and President of the Dominican Republic Dr. Leonel Fernandez inaugurated the event. Important heads of business, distinguished political figures and baseball celebrities that included Pedro Martinez, David Ortiz, Omar Minaya, and Tom La Sorda were in attendance. Also present were other professionals and international fans of golf. More than 500 people attended the winners’ award ceremony dinner and danced with the music of the well known merengue player Toño Rosario and his orchestra.
